Heat Activated NiTi Arches are available in two arch forms. They have lower force levels than our regular Super Elastic NiTi. For example, a .016 x .022 rectangular Heat Activated NiTi Arch has approximately the same force as a .016 round Regular SuperElastic NiTi arch. These two different arch wires will move teeth with approximately the same force.
Heat Activated NiTi Arches are easy to bend at room temperature. To fully activate, wires should be chilled before insertion. The Austentic Start Temperature for Heat Activated NiTi is 86°F [±5.4°F] (30°C [±3°C]); so they begin returning to their original arch form at body temperature.
